Alexandra Botez is a popular chess streamer that has entered top poker tournaments around the world. She is an internationally recognized chess master and avid poker player.

Botez was born in Dallas but grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and was raised by Romanian parents. She began her chess training at six years old and won her first Canadian children’s national championship at the age of eight. Botez won four more children’s national chess titles before she won U.S. Girls Nationals at 15.

Botez attended Stanford University and began streaming chess on Twitch in 2016. She hosts the popular BotezLive show with her sister, Andrea.
